I would have liked to see the team go at two of these potential players, and try to pick the best players at the same price that the other.
In many ways this feels like free agency 2017 and that's not the best thing. The Jaguars were also spending a lot in signing Calais Campbell, A.J. Bouye, Barry Church and traded for Branden Albert. At the time they were considered to be the "big winning team," but even though they went from 3-13 to 10-6 immediately, they then crashed back on the floor because they weren't able to get the depth.
My wish is that this won't happen again. I just wish when the Jaguars have worked hard to gain this kind of cap room, they didn't be so reckless and act as if they're two or three pieces closer to winning as a cellar dweller having to make progress slowly.
